Young people and armed violence in Northern Ireland

While young people have played a significant part in the violent conflict in Northern Ireland, there has been relatively little analysis of their role within it. This article attempts to address the differing roles of children and young people in conflict since the 1970s, concentrating on the changing nature of the involvement of young people in street violence before and during the ongoing peace process.
